The funds of European Union and other donors are intended for the social and economical development of the regions and local communities, with the participation of interested partners like companies, institutions and individuals. The intention is that the donor funds through their realization contribute to resolution of issues like employment, improving quality of education, environmental protection, and sustainable development, information, cooperation between European regions and similar.

"TrioS Konsalting" offers technical support in project proposals compilation, implementation of project activities, search for donors and getting the funds for the development projects. Fieldwork can include data collection, organisation of experts meetings and workshops, plan and analysis working meetings, compilation of strategic documents and action plans, organization and delivery of various trainings, GPS marking and tracking, photo reports and similar.

 We have significant experience in the work with the donors like: USAID, SIDA, CARE, Oxfam, EBRD. We have more than five years of experience in implementation of development programmes from the field of local and regional economic development, financed by the Delegation of European Commission in BiH. This also includes implementation of several projects of so called “FWC Framework Contracts” of the European Commission, as individual consultants.

EBRD (TAM/BAS programme) - development of small and medium-sized enterprises through business consulting

The first successful contract co-financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (50%) was concluded in 2006 between Independent Agency “Trios Konsalting” and local company “Bor Trade” ltd. In accordance with the contract we rendered business advice services from the area of time and costs management, human resources development plan, promotion strategy (including web site and catalogue design), research of export opportunities. The team engaged consisted of 3 consultants

Care International – action planning and cross-border cooperation in tourism (BIH – Serbia)

In 2007 “TrioS Konsalting” agency won the tender and concluded the contract with Care International and became the leader of action planning process in six municipalities. The work on this project included the activities like motivating project participants to cooperation, building of human capacities, action planning, region branding etc. Our team consisted of five consultants.

Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

During 2008 we were engaged in several smaller projects out of which one was financed by the donors’ funds. The task was to assist in the research and preparation of the document "The study on Investment Potentials in Srebrenica and Bratunac Municipalities", financed by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Delegation of European Commission in BiH

Important donor project we worked on in 2009 was “Posavina – Heaven for Fishing and Hunting”, financed by the Delegation of European Commission. The research about the needs for professional education of project beneficiaries and compilation of the marketing guidelines for the tourist product of Posavina region in BiH, was performed as the part of that project.

OXFAM – regional planning of rural development and cross-border cooperation (BiH – CRO)

Drawing on the contract concluded in 2010 between “TrioS konsalting” and UCODEP (now OXFAM), the agency performed following tasks: Protection and valuation of the traditional, most important agriculture products of Herzegovina; strategic planning (short and medium-term) for the Herzegovina region regarding the development of villages and tourism; evaluation of local resources value for the development of agritourism in Herzegovina and Dubrovnik; analysis of the importance and influence of local environment; technical support in selection and elaboration of project proposals; management of workshops.

USAID and SIDA - support to tourism development in Bosnia and Herzegovina

During 2010 – 2011, “TrioS Konsalting” received grant funds with the task to develop, support and promote new product of outdoor tourism – mountain biking (MTB) at Ozren mountain in BiH. This task was performed with 3 engaged consultants who worked on 5 types of interventions and delivered:

1. Web marketing for the whole region of outdoor community of Ozren mountain,
2. GPS marking of trails, design and printing of the first regional promotional MTB brochure, 
3. Promotion of sustainable development in tourism (EU Agenda),
   
4. Market research and determining market guidelines for MTB in the region,
5. Promotion of the project through the 2-days event.

 The World Bank – YF Innovations Serbia/Adecom Group Serbia, development of business plan

2011 was a year marked by several advisory services to the Tourist Board of Doboj Municipality, regarding project proposals for various donors and marketing services to local companies from the construction and textile branches, and the assistance on the compilation of business plan for the Serbian firm “Adekom Group” from Pančevo.

Based on that business plan, this firm was selected by the World Bank and received grant in amount of 100,000 Euros intended for its realisation. “Adekom Group” plans to develop, patent, present and promote to the market new and innovative system for waterproofing in the construction business,

European Commission – Pilot project of social housing and implementation of the Annex VII of the Dayton Peace Agreement

Beginning of 2012 started with the assignment arising from the contract of European Commission with the Italian firm SpA “ARS Progetti”. TrioS Konsalting” gave its contribution by engaging 2 consultants on this task.

The Dayton Peace Agreement, agreement on refugees and displaced persons, establishes their rights to freely return to their homes. The task given to the “TrioS Konsalting” experts involved various activities especially in the field of employment, and education, like:

- Evaluation of current initiatives related to implementation of Annex VII, regarding rights of refugees and internally displaced persons, plans of authorized institutions and donors for improvement of the situation in that field, as well as plans of investments in this field.

- Evaluation of the situation regarding existing initiatives to support sustainable solutions under the jurisdiction of appropriate institutions, current and future planned activities, if such exist,

- Evaluation of the situation regarding extremely endangered beneficiaries, who need accommodation, and similar activities.

World Vision Azerbaijan – Project proposal development

In 2013 international organization World Vision has engaged our consultant to lead the WV Azerbaijan team and local NGO partner through the proposal strategy development and to be the lead writer in project proposal design process for the EU Call: Support to local initiatives on regional and rural development in Azerbaijan (Reference EuropeAid/134048/L/ACT/AZ). The global objective of this call for proposals for the Republic of Azerbaijan was to contribute to the reduction of regional socio-economic disparities and to the diversification of the economy by creating conditions for balanced and sustainable economic development across all regions of Azerbaijan. As a lead writer and proposal manager, the Consultant:

1. Guided the overall process of proposal formulation, including log frame and budget;
2. Performed micro level analyses of the selected economic zone(s) of Azerbaijan
3. Identified strategic sector (s) that has a strong potential to be developed in 2-3 years;

The proposal has been approved by EC, on 1^st of October 2013.

European Commission – Project proposal development:

“Provision of legal aid, rehabilitation and reintegration of former prisoners in Azerbaijan”,

During 2014 TrioS was engaged in several small consultancy activities related to local tourism initiatives in BiH, related to tourism product development and promotion. In addition to this, TrioS continued assistance to another project proposal development for the well known Social-Economic Innovation Center “Uluchay” from Azerbaijan. The Call for Proposals was issued under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) and Neighborhood Civil Society Facility (ref. EuropeAid/135-308/L/ACT/AZ). The project was titled "Provision of legal aid, rehabilitation andreintegration of former prisoners in Azerbaijan" and was successfully developed and later approved by EC Delegation of Azerbaijan.
